Employees in Saudi Arabia give blood

Saudi employees from BAE Systems’ Headquarters in Riyadh donated blood at a mobile donation centre
Saudi employees from BAE Systems’ Headquarters in Riyadh donated blood at a mobile donation centre provided by the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh during November.

The blood donations were organised with the local hospital as a small part of BAE Systems overall Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, which helps ensure the company and employees make contributions to the local societies where they work.

Mohammed Al Thobati, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for BAE Systems Saudi Arabia said, “I would like to thank all employees at the Al Shaheen headquarters, who volunteered to give blood.  The response from our employees kept the hospital’s blood bank staff busy, which pleased the hospital.

“The donations went very smoothly and I would encourage other large employers to see if their employees would be willing to participate in similar donation schemes with their local hospitals, because giving blood does save lives.”
