BAE Systems Saudi Arabia forms Responsible Behaviour Committee

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia recently formed a Responsible Behaviour Committee within the company to assist with maintaining its excellent track record for implementing business ethics.

This committee will assist with scrutinizing business ethics related matters within the Company, and in addition will be responsible for monitoring significant and emerging reputational risks and reporting these to senior management within the business and wider company if appropriate.

The team comprises of representatives from different parts of the business, in addition to the Ethics Manager. The committee will be working under direct supervision of the Chief Executive Office. The committee will also prepare reports for the Chief Executive Office and Audit Review Board, and will present recommendations to the business.

The formation of this committee is part of the business' ongoing commitment to providing highest standards of business ethics and responsible behaviour. Bassem Al-Fassam, Ethics Manager and one of the committee members, said: “BAE Systems Saudi Arabia formed this committee to help ensure responsible behaviour is reflected in the actions of the business and all of our employees. The input gathered from the broad range of representatives help the company gather different viewpoints and come up with recommendations that will address ethical concerns and promote responsible behaviour amongst employees within the business.”

He concluded by saying: “The existence of such a committee within the business is key to identifying and monitoring ethical trends within the business. This will enable the business to take the appropriate action to ensure we continue to implement business ethics consistently.”
