Capabilities we're displaying

Get educated!

Our experts are offering formalized training throughout the symposium. Both in house and USGIF sessions will be available.

USGIF education and training sessions

Leveraging Critical Thinking in Applying the ABI Methodology
Monday, May 16, 2 – 4 p.m.
This course will cover the philosophy of activity-based intelligence (ABI) and how critical thinking can be used to enhance the analytical application of this methodology. Guided discussions will walk attendees through the process of mitigating cognitive biases to achieve the maximum potential offered by the implementation of ABI analytic methodology.
Understanding the Syrian Refugee Crisis through Open Source Trend Analysis
Tuesday, May 17, 7 – 9 a.m.
This training will use a recently completed NGA project on the Syrian refugee crisis to demonstrate how to successfully leverage unstructured open-source data and apply methodologies that support flexible, multi-phase intelligence output options.
The above education and training sessions are accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Attendees receive 0.2 Continuing Education Units per session courtesy of Riverside Research, an IACET Authorized Provider and USGIF mission partner in STEM education.
Trainings are add-ons and not included in the Symposium Pass registration. Each training session is $25 for USGIF Members and $30 for USGIF Non-Members. Attendees may sign up for training onsite at the registration desk, if seats are still available.

BAE Systems in house training classes

We’re offering complimentary onsite training classes - including introductory sessions on our Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP)! Each session can hold up to 30 students and will be in the Sun Breakout 6 conference room on level two. Students enrolling in a GXP course are asked to bring their own laptop with full admin rights upon which to learn. Other classes do not require computers. Sign up for training at the BAE Systems booth.
