Readying the Army for a hybrid Ground Combat Vehicle

Ground Combat Vehicle (GCV)
Ground Combat Vehicle represents the U.S. Army’s current modernization effort and its development is a top priority.

BAE Systems-Northrop Grumman's Ground Combat Vehicle (GCV) provides the right mix of flexible capabilities needed to help the Army adapt to future combat needs, while satisfying current budgetary limits and battlefield requirements. The GCV will be the first infantry fighting vehicle designed from the ground-up to meet the demands of modern warfare, to operate in today’s IED-threat environment and to take the Army into the future with its force protection levels and growth potential.

The team's offering includes a hybrid electric drive propulsion system that enables exceptional force protection and mobility in a lower weight vehicle. This allows for growth in power requirements as new technologies are matured and integrated into the platform. This technology allows for GCV to meet the demands of near term operations while providing a robust platform for future technology integration and growth at low risk and cost.
