BAE Systems is once again a proud sponsor of the Royal International Air Tattoo for 2017

This year the Royal International Air Tattoo is celebrating 21st Century Partnerships that exist throughout the defence and aviation community.  Over the decades the aircraft designed and built by BAE Systems, and its predecessor businesses, have led the way in aircraft innovation.

The BAE Systems’ aircraft collection on show at RIAT will represent past and present partnerships that have made the Company what it is today.  Outside the Patron’s Pavilion BAE Systems will be showing off the Typhoon Full Scale Replica with the full enhanced swing-role weapons fit.

Among the many aircraft taking to the skies at this year’s RIAT show will be the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon Display. Flown this year by Flight Lieutenant Ryan Lawton, from the Royal Air Force’s 29(R) Squadron, based at RAF Coningsby, the RAF Typhoon Display Team is promising a spectacular show which will aim to demonstrate the aircraft’s outstanding power and agility.

In addition to the Aircraft Collection, BAE Systems will be supporting the RIAT Techno Zone.  In this area BAE Systems’ Skills 2020 integrated skills and education programme will be brought to life by a multitude of innovating exhibits that encourage interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) – showcasing cutting edge technology and providing interactive activities. On hand will be a number of award-winning BAE Systems’ Apprentices and Graduates to share their experiences and inspire engineers of the future.
