Our Military Air & Information (MAI) business and EMCOR have won the “Partners in Facilities Management--Corporate” category award at the 2013 Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) Awards.
EMCOR UK picked up their fourth PFM Award win at the event, which was held on the 6 November at The Brewery in London, attended by more than 500 facilities management professionals.
About the PFM awards
The annual PFM Awards are among the most sought-after in the facilities management sector. They recognise best practices in partnering in facilities management and support services between service providers and clients, as well as the skills and enterprise of people engaged in the sector.
Recognising strategic partnerships
The “Partners in FM--Corporate” category recognises strategic partnerships where a wide range of support and facilities management services are delivered and managed for a large corporate or public sector client organisation.
A successful partnership
Entrants are required to demonstrate how the partnership is strategically aligned with the client’s business needs and reflected through the supply chain to effectively deliver a broad range of services. EMCOR and ourselves secured the award by demonstrating a strategically aligned and successful partnership, specifically in the areas of innovation, sustainability and achievement.
A flexible and dynamic approach
EMCOR’s relationship with our MAI business has developed over a 18-year collaborative working relationship. The judging panel recognised the mutual success shared by EMCOR and MAI, as well as the joint efforts to pioneer and achieve BS 11000 (the British Standard for collaborative working relationships). Through significant business change the two companies have embraced a flexible and dynamic approach to facilities management in a demanding and diverse environment.
Delivering on each others commitments
Paul Nolan, Head of Estates Infrastructure and Site Services MAI stated: “We were delighted to collect the award alongside EMCOR. We have been partners for over 18 years and I’m proud of the commitment that both organisations have in continuing to develop the relationship to meet the needs of both organisations.”
