Making an impression

Royal Saudi Air Force Officer, Major Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Shareef, a Typhoon Pilot
To kick off activities at the Royal International Air Tattoo, we have provided a selection of trade and International journalists with a joint Saudi Arabia Typhoon capability brief.

Key journalists in the audience included well known Trade Journalists such as Arabian Aerospace and Flight. Also attending were journalists from Malaysia.

The brief was led by a Royal Saudi Air Force Officer (RSAF), Major Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Shareef, a Typhoon Pilot.

This briefing was a rare event, with very few public briefings given by the RSAF. Through Major Al-Shareef’s personal experiences of flying Typhoon he was able to provide the media with an insight of how the aircraft is performing in the Kingdom, and how he views its performance and capabilities. The journalists were also given a tour of the BAE Systems Village and were interested to see the air display practices taking place ready for the formal displays over the weekend.

For more information on the event visit the Air Tattoo website.
