Employee fundraising to make a real difference

Employee fundraising to make a real difference
Employees have shown their generosity by raising tens of thousands of pounds for local and national charities.

Cheques collectively valued at over £113,000 were recently presented to a wide range of charities including Help for Heroes, SSAFA, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Mencap, Make a Wish Foundation, CLIC Sargent and numerous charities local to BAE Systems sites.

The money has been raised from dozens of fundraising initiatives organised by employees including golf days, plant sales, sponsored bike rides, cake sales and craft fairs to name just a few.

Ian Wood, Samlesbury Site Director, who presented some of the cheques to the charities, said: “It has been a real pleasure to be able to provide support to these very worthwhile charities. We have been only too happy to help and have been delighted by the level of support our employees have given. They have been fantastic.”
