Watch talented, young WorldSkills UK competitors compete to become the best of the best in their chosen skills.

We are the senior sponsor at the UK’s biggest skills and careers event taking place at the NEC in Birmingham 15 - 17 November 2012.

The Skills Show is a unique annual celebration of vocational training that will inspire the engineers, web developers and fashion designers of tomorrow with exciting opportunities in further education, skills and Apprenticeships.

The Show is open to the public on Saturday 17 November 2012 – for more details and to register visit The UK Skills Show.

The show organisers are aiming for 100,000 visitors over the three days and will play host to a range of skills activities, all under one roof!

Be inspired - watch talented, young WorldSkills UK competitors compete to become the best of the best in their chosen skills, and we have a number of apprentices competing during the show.

You can have a go and get stuck in at a range of different skills activities, from floristry and virtual welding, to beauty therapy, hospitality and music mixing.

You can also talk to the experts - there will be a huge range of jobs, careers and training opportunities available, with experts on hand to give real insight and advice on what it takes to get your dream job.

Who will visit?

  • School and College students, aged 8- 18
  • Young adults aged 19-24
  • Those not in employment, education or training (NEET)
  • Teachers and career guidance professionals
  • Parents, carers and family groups

At the show we are part of the Manufacturing show case alongside Jaguar Land Rover, JCB and MBDA.  We will be demonstrating the latest technologies and capabilities from across the company. Our exhibit will be manned by current and graduated apprentices from across our UK business, promoting our education and early careers opportunities.

In addition to our exhibits we will be running a ‘Have a Go’ challenge where young people can build their very own aircraft from an in-house pre-manufactured kit.  We also have a number of apprentices presenting Spotlight Sessions at the show sharing their unique experiences and knowledge.
