Our People

Our people in Saudi Arabia
The Company focuses on all aspects of development, supporting the career aspirations of its workforce.

All employees are able to use the global resources of the Learning and Development department to develop both their professional and personal skill base.  From developing English language skills to functional competency development, Management & Leadership development to recognising and nurturing future leaders through the Talent Programmes, BAE Systems Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing its people starts with its Learning & Development Framework.

The framework guides development across our workforce and many of our programmes are accredited through internationally recognised awarding bodies and institutions, ensuring that wherever your career leads your development here will support you.

Using a blended approach through E Learning, on-the-job training, formal and informal learning allows us to tailor solutions to suit our people, enhance our capability and deliver on business objectives.

All employees have a Performance Development Review every six months to capture and monitor performance, development needs and career aspirations.

For Saudi Graduates who join the company they will most likely be placed onto the Graduate Development Framework which will relate to their specific discipline.  This supports the transition from an academic to a work environment through on-the-job learning as well as external courses.  There may also be opportunities for secondments to other business locations.  Where possible the Company will also assist graduates in gaining relevant professional qualifications.  BAE Systems Saudi Arabia also offers a mentoring scheme, which enables graduates to discuss their training and career development with a senior manager.

Among the training programmes provided specifically for employees is Mustakbal – a development programme for future Saudi managers.  It was first introduced in 2002.  The programme offers delegates the choice of pursuing a Diploma in Management from the Chartered Management Institute or a Certificate in Management qualification.  Both courses provide the Mustakbal students with a greater understanding of business management.
