PR and media experts in Saudi Arabia discuss the role and the objectives of Public Relations campaigns

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: At a forum organised by BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, Media & PR experts from Saudi Arabia analysed the role and objectives of Public Relation campaigns run by both public and private sector organisations. They also discussed the responsibility of the Media in conveying these campaigns to the target audience.

The discussions were part of the Third Public Relations Forum organised by BAE Systems Saudi Arabia and held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Riyadh last Tuesday (1 May) under the title of "Public Relations Campaigns; Stating Facts or Telling Fiction".

The forum was attended by a large number of specialists interested in Public Relations from both the public and private sectors, along with a selected group of speakers.

Monther Tayeb, Director of Communications, BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, delivered the opening address and stressed the importance and benefits of such gatherings in the development of the PR profession. He pointed out that the presence of selected Media and Public Relations experts would achieve fruitful results benefiting those interested in these areas.

The Forum was attended by Major General Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director-General of the Department of Public Relations and Guidance in the Ministry of Interior and Professor Abdul Latif Al-Oufi, a Professor of Mass Communication in the Faculty of Arts, at King Saud University, in addition to a number of experts in the sectors of Public Relations and Media.
