BAE Systems Saudi Arabia presented two Saudi employees with 2012 Chairman’s Silver Awards for their outstanding contributions to specific company projects which have been implemented over the past year.

The employees were presented their awards at an event in the UK by Jim McDowell - Managing Director and Chief Executive of BAE System Saudi Arabia.

Jim McDowell said, “The employees were recognized for achievements in four main categories – innovation, the transfer of best practice, enhancing customer performance and supporting our total performance culture.  These areas are the focus of the Chairman’s Awards since they are core to BAE Systems and are critical to determining our success.

“It was a pleasure to hand out so many awards to my Saudi colleagues on behalf of our Chairman, Dick Olver.  The number and quality of the nominations received from our Saudi nationals speaks for itself and I am particularly pleased that Brig Gen Al-Ghamdi, Capt Sami and Col Ibrahim from the Royal Saudi Air Force can be here tonight to witness the awards ceremony.”

The winners of the Silver Chairman’s Awards were; ‘RSAF Typhoon Demonstration’,  ‘Mustakbal - A Journey of Discovery’, ‘RSAF Fire Protection Manuals’ and ‘Female Employment in Saudi Arabia’.
