Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: As part of BAE Systems Saudi Arabia’s endeavours to develop its Saudi employees, the Company has launched its Mustakbal 2012 programme. The programme is one of the most important development and training programmes provided by the company to its Saudi employees, and aims to prepare managers capable of undertaking future senior management roles within the company.

The Mustakbal programme intends to help develop Saudi employees that could play future leadership roles within BAE Systems Saudi Arabia and is linked to the Chartered Management Institute’s (CMI) Management Diploma Programme. CMI is the only chartered professional body in the UK in management and leadership fields.

Abdullah Al Jumaah, Training Services and Support Manager BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, said: “The Mustakbal programme was launched in 2002 following the company’s genuine commitment to the training and development of its Saudi employees, enabling them to take on senior management roles within the company in the future.

"To date, about 68 Saudi employees have benefited from the programme, many of whom are now holding senior management positions. Through its Learning and Development department, the company brings international experts who train and mentor programme participants in a setting similar to a real working environment. They also devise a range of challenges to gauge the participants’ problem solving abilities and understand their way of thinking and communication with peers to surpass obstacles."

The programme encompasses several training courses that focus on the basics of business management, as well as change management programs. This aims to assist managers in developing core skills necessary for managing and directing personal development, human resource development, resource management, and understanding market impact on meeting customer requirements, quality, information management and performance management.
