Application and production engineering
Our services include: electrical (digital/analogue EMO/EMC), power supply design, mechanical engineering (precision mechanisms, stress, thermal, shock, vibration), Electro-optics (lasers, telescopes, imaging and sensors) and optical and electronic testing.
We have experts to help with ‘Design for Manufacture’, Catia V4 and V5, assessment and implementation of capital equipment, adoption/development of lean manufacturing processes, product development and prototyping.
Our advanced manufacturing facilities cater for hard metal (titanium) and soft metal (aluminium) machining. We provide 3, 4 and 5 axis turning and milling and we’re ISO9001:2008 Accredited and AS9100 Rev C Approved.
The new titanium manufacturing facility, due for completion this year, will house a new machine, which is the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere and one of only two in the world. It will allow us to manufacture larger titanium components (up to five metres long) for the commercial market, such as wing and fuselage components.
Our experienced team also provides surface treatment and testing (non-destructive test, abrasion and corrosion), electrical and integration & test services.

Our unique capabilities within Australia include design and engineering of complex optical and laser systems, full supported by in house manufacturing capabilities including optical thin films, diamond turning, optical manufacturing, optical assembly, along with ISO 9001 Metrology.
Our customers include defence and aerospace organisations, both in country and overseas. Commercial photonics firms, in the medical device sector, resource sector, forensic industry and others. We provide design and manufacture of complete laser packages to OEM’s, Federal Government agencies, photonic companies and private research institutions.
