New security enabled Canberra office officially opened

Cyber Security Australia
Canberra, Australia: The Minister for Defence Materiel Jason Clare has today opened BAE Systems’ new Canberra office

The purpose-built facility, located at 14 Childers Street, Civic, is a portal to BAE Systems’ entire Australian business with sites located in every state and territory.

The facility better positions the company for future work by basing its 140 Canberra employees at one strategic location.

Included in the building is a high security work area and a communications suite that allows the team to work directly on Defence networks. It also includes a state-of-the-art training capability for cyber security.

BAE Systems Australia Chief Executive David Allott said: “This facility reflects where we’re headed as a company. It’s here that we’re developing solutions within the ICT domain and delivering some of Defence’s most important projects.”

Following recent key contract wins, the move also allows BAE Systems to develop new opportunities in the Applications Managed Service Partnership Arrangement (AMSPA) for the Chief Information Officer Group in the Warfighter and Intelligence domain.
