Commitment to Transformation:

Transformation and Employment Equity are key elements of both our Corporate and our Social Responsibilities. Our vision for transformation incorporates the whole spectrum of our responsibility including empowerment, equal opportunities for our people, diversity, creation of value for our customers and sustainable development for our community.

We play our part in achieving meaningful and sustainable results as a catalyst for economic and social change within the company, our stakeholders and South Africa’s defence industry.

Community:

We support the community through investment in education of previously disadvantaged youth and through learnerships and other training. Our strategy is about more than making monetary donations, but aims to assist our communities to address socio-economic imbalances.

In 2005 the company launched a programme to award bursary assistance to deserving learners from surrounding schools in Johannesburg for various BSc degrees in engineering.  The company also invested in other training programmes, i.e. Artisan training and Adult Basic Education Training (ABET).
