Installed Antenna Modelling on Nimrod
Software methods for modelling the performance and interoperability of antennas installed on aircraft in the microwave region of the electromagnetic spectrum have been implemented within a ray-tracing code, INSTANT.
The approach adopted in this case has been to divide the problem into domains according to the electrical size of the components in the model and use appropriate methods to model the electromagnetic interactions in each region.
