The family of 155mm ammunition has been developed for use with 39 and 52 calibre ordnance.
It comprises a high tensile steel body with ROWANEX 1100 (PBX). The shell body has been optimised for high fragmentation and blast effect. For 155mm HEIM ER, an optimised base bleed unit is used which enables the shell to achieve a range of over 30km when fired from a 39 calibre ordnance.
The two variants of 155mm ammunition are 155mm HEIM and 155 HEIM ER.
