Redundant manufacturing, processing and even office facilities can present significant risks to intruders and future occupiers of any site.
Buildings or equipment may have been left in an unsafe condition with the possibility of accumulated hazardous materials in plant, process pipework, drains & sumps, etc. Derelict sites are often home to protected species of flora and fauna which must also be relocated prior to any redevelopment or re-use.
With over ten years experience in the decommissioning of chemical and explosives processing facilities, we will develop and execute a detailed, safe and cost effective decommissioning strategy including where necessary:
- A detailed site characterisation of buildings; - a survey (including asbestos if necessary) will be carried out for each building.
- Primary screening and clearance of individual buildings.
- Plant removal and building decontamination.
- Client inspection and acceptance.
