Remote Spectrum Display Processors

BAE Systems' family of remote spectrum display processors are designed to monitor the intermediate frequency (IF) output of HF, VHF, UHF, and microwave receivers. The processors sample the IF signal and estimate the spectral content at various sweep widths. Control of these units as well as data output is via TCP/IP network connection. Each unit acts as a data server for spectral information, while a network client plots the data and provides control settings. Spectral averaging, FFT size, data scaling, and window functions are controlled via the client interface.

To conserve network bandwidth, the units include data compression modes tailored to the spectral data formats and throttling mechanisms to prevent data overrun. The units can be configured to operate via dialup interface or web interface.
