Log-periodic antenna
BAE Systems offers several models of very broadband log-periodic antennas.
These units cover the 0.02 MHz to 1.0 GHz bands and essentially have constant gain and beamwidth for high-power transmit coplanar models.
Many units are man-portable, easy to transport and pack easily in supplied canvas bags.
BAE Systems also offers several extremely rugged pyramidal log-periodic antennas that give higher gain in the 0.05 GHz to 12.4 GHz range.
A representative band coverage is 10:1, with 1.0 to 12.4 GHz typical. The pyramidal log-periodic antennas have approximately equal E- and H-plan patterns. Dual-polarized versions are also available.
