BAE Systems’ complete process includes:
- Survey — develop design information package on each platform type for the integration of the Mark XII IFF equipment.
- Installation design — detail electrical and mechanical MK XII installation kit design package for the platform type.
- MK XII equipment — manufacture Mark XII IFF equipment and installation kits for all the platforms.
- Installation and test — this includes:
– Baseline test platform(s) for functionality
– Install and check out Mark XII IFF
– Site acceptance testing with customer
– Support flight test and sea trials (as required)
– Training — operational training of Mark XII IFF on each platform type, and equipment maintenance training - Instrument landing system — initial operational spares and support equipment. Long-term logistics support packages available.
