Terminal acceptance test station (TATS)
The terminal acceptance test station (TATS) is the culmination of twenty years of hardware and software development. With more than twenty TATS deployed worldwide, it has a proven performance and reliability track record.
Description
It’s a test station that has satisfied product variants for every JTIDS (Joint Tactical Information Distribution System) platform, most recently MIDS (Multifunctional Information Distribution System). Capable of running terminal acceptance test procedure, software formal qualification testing, functional performance testing and simulating high-traffic environments (mission loads). It can process test data to evaluate the terminal’s performance “on the fly” and provide a test situation to evaluate the system segment specification requirements. This system emulates a real-time environment with full simulation of the host platform interfaces and drives a second terminal to simulate a Link 16 network.
Application
- Terminal troubleshooting
- Full terminal functional testing
- Hardware acceptance testing and qualification
- Software verification testing
- Run real-time network scenarios
- Tape recording and online analysis of terminal data
- Situational display and scenario generation
- Transmit and receive TADIL-J messages
