Longbow transceivers
BAE Systems millimeter-wave (MMW) transceivers are installed in the sensor head of the U.S. Army’s Longbow Hellfire missile, an air-to-ground, “fire-and-forget” weapon that provides significant standoff range from enemy targets.
The transceiver transmits and receives signals to detect and track targets, and relays information to the missile seeker for additional tracking, guidance, and engagement.
- MMW chips produced at Nashua, New Hampshire, foundry
- Transceivers in production since 1996
- More than 12,000 units built
