AN/ALQ-156(V) missile warning system
Missile warning is a pilot’s watchdog, constantly on guard to sense approaching missiles and activate end-game decoys and flares to defeat an increasingly lethal array of air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles.
BAE Systems’ AN/ALQ-156(V) missile warning system is a 360-degree pulse Doppler radar missile detector that illuminates an incoming missile, detects the RF reflection, and measures the missile’s range and velocity to accurately determine time-to-go and provide the optimum triggering of an expendable to protect the host platform.
