BAE Systems containers are designed to operate in severe environmental extremes, both natural and dynamic.
These containers are designed to be fork lifted from any of the four sides, hoisted using standard overhead hoisting equipment, and tied down to truck beds or trailers using standard securing equipment. They remain sealed under normal operating and storage conditions. Each container is fitted with a reversible humidity indicator element that will change color from blue to pink when the humidity inside the container exceeds 40%.
Containers are also fitted with two-way breather valves that operate automatically to release pressure or vacuum, enabling them to be safely transported in unpressurized aircraft cargo bays. Container covers are latched in place using over-center latches that may be operated while wearing MOPP gear. Access for desiccant replacement or document storage is through a port cover that may also be operated while wearing MOPP gear.
