BAE Systems Australia provides a wide range of services in support of military and commercial trials in the Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA).
This vast area encompassing 127,000 square kilometres in north-west South Australia is administered by the Department of Defence and is used by Australian and overseas organisations to undertake complex air, ground and space test activities.
As the Commercial Support Contractor to the Department of Defence at Woomera, BAE Systems Australia has a workforce of approximately 40 staff based in Woomera Village. In addition to supplying services in Woomera Village and at Woomera Airfield, BAE Systems provides engineering, technical, logistic and project management support of trial activities in the WPA.
