BAE Systems designs and manufactures armor systems for a variety of combat vehicles. These include armor systems for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and the Armored Security Vehicle (ASV).
HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System)
The HIMARS cab has nearly 40 major enhancements designed to protect occupants against missile blast and Foreign Object Debris (FOD), as well as toxic fumes associated with rocket launch. This product has been in production since 2001 and remains a popular vehicle with the artillery users.

ASV (Armored Security Vehicle)
Mobility & Protection Systems is the only U.S. manufacturer of the MEXAS armor system for the U.S. Army’s M1117 Armored Security Vehicle (ASV). The appliqué armor system provides 12.7mm protection when integrated with the vehicle’s hull. The ASV MEXAS armor is a ceramic-composite system for minimum weight and maximum stopping power.
