BAE Systems Australia provides Contractor Logistics Support for the Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air Missile (ASRAAM) enhancing its capability partner position in guided weapons support to the Australian Defence Force.
Complementing existing development and support work on the Nulka Anti-Ship Missile Defence System and the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM), BAE Systems Australia assisted MBDA in the development of an ASRAAM software support facility.
The facility is owned by the Commonwealth, located within the Weapons Systems Division of the Defence Science Technology Organisation (DSTO) and staffed by BAE Systems employees. In addition, BAE Systems Australia has established a missile repair facility at Edinburgh Parks, South Australia.
