SEAN BOND TO LEAD BAE SYSTEMS ELECTRONICS UNIT

JOHNSON CITY, New York — Sean Bond has been named president of BAE Systems’ Platform Solutions business, based in Johnson City, New York. Platform Solutions is a major defense and commercial electronics business with 6,000 employees at 11 locations in the United States and United Kingdom.

Bond previously was vice president and general manager of Defense Avionics within the Platform Solutions unit. Prior to joining BAE Systems, he was the V-22 program manager at Bell Helicopter Textron and Joint Strike Fighter program manager for Pratt & Whitney Military Engines.

Bond earned a bachelor’s of science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland and also studied at the U.S. Naval Academy.
