Chelmsford, United Kingdom. - BAE Systems is supporting the Under 16s Wilvale Football Team - The Wilvale Rangers Hurricanes - by providing a new football kit for the players. Wilvale Rangers Hurricanes presently play within the Blackwater and Dengie Youth League, U16, Division 1 League
Alastair Balloch, site lead for BAE Systems Integrated System Technologies (Insyte) in Chelmsford, said: “We are very pleased to provide this sponsorship, and hope that our support to the team will help contribute to their continued success. Supporting the local community is important to BAE Systems as well as encouraging sport and education for young people.”
Wilvale Rangers has expanded from a one-team football club in 1991 to a club which now has fourteen teams in action during the 2006/7 season. The Under 16s team has retained its top players from last season and acquired new talent that should see it improve its League standing. "Hurricanes" and its supporters are justly proud to have been awarded last season's divisional sportsmanship trophy.
Wilvale Club Chairman Martin Forman said: “To assist all of our F.A. Level 1 Coaches, every team receives assistance with several sessions undertaken by professional coaches. Add to that our dedicated goalkeeper training sessions and coach’s training sessions undertaken by Tottenham Hotspur, and it’s clear to see our objective of offering quality and varied training to all members of the club.
“Wilvale strive to keep fees to a reasonable level, conscious that its charges remain at a level where players from low-income families are not excluded. In this respect, sponsorship plays a vital role in helping us to keep our costs down. We extend our thanks and gratitude to BAE Systems for their very kind generosity in sponsoring a kit for one of the club’s U16s team.”
