BAE SYSTEMS Regional Aircraft Wins New Jetspares Business

19 Jul 2004

BAE Systems Regional Aircrafts determination to build up its rotable spares by the hour business has been demonstrated by the winning of significant new multi-million pound JetSpares business from two new customers.

Both Hemus Air of Bulgaria and Flightline of the UK have been enrolled into the JetSpares programme for the first time.

JetSpares is an individually customised support programme, designed to allow an airline to concentrate on its operations while BAE Systems takes care of spares inventory, logistics and repairs. The priority is to keep the airlines business running smoothly by providing a first-class spares support service at a fixed monthly cost.

The Hemus Air agreement covers the two recently-delivered BAe 146-200s and is a comprehensive package covering the JetSpares agreement, plus continuing spares support, a full technical publications service, the services of the Repair Design Office and ground school training.

Flightline is also a new JetSpares customer and has signed up a package covering a newly-leased BAe 146-300 that has been placed with the airline. In addition to the spares support package, Regional Aircraft has included the support of wheels, tyres and brakes in collaboration with Dunlop.
