BAE SYSTEMS Releases VITec® Elt Version 6.1

SAN DIEGO -- BAE Systems, a world leader in imagery exploitation systems and software, has released the latest version of its VITec Electronic Light Table (ELT) software. This release offers an OpenGL implementation that improves software speed and performance, allowing users to quickly process imagery from aircraft and satellites for first, second and third phase image exploitation.

VITec ELT Version 6.1 now features smooth directed search and user roam, enhanced filters and dynamic range adjustment capability, as well as improvements to the graphical user interface. The application supports decimal degrees, toggling between monitors, a jump-to-location tool and improved image remap and display that supports 10, 12, and 14-bit image products.

The features and enhancements of our Electronic Light Table demonstrate our continuing effort to simplify the imagery production process, said Dan London, vice president, Sales and Marketing for the Geospatial eXploitation Products Line of Business.

New capabilities in Version 6.1 include updates to VITec ELTs annotation function that provide tools such as a magnifying glass, a distance-based Ground Truth Ellipse/Circle, new fill patterns for annotation objects and an option to use non-scalable fonts. A Multiple Image Select function provides a convenient way to process multiple images with a single interface and works well for pre-processing a large number of images before a long exploitation session.
