BAE Systems Advanced Systems has promoted Vice President Patricia (Pat) McMahon to General Manager at its Greenlawn, New York, facility. Advanced Systems President Ray Daugherty announced that, in addition to her current program management and marketing responsibilities at Greenlawn, McMahon will now oversee the unit's engineering, operations, and quality functions, giving her complete responsibility for direct execution of Advanced Systems' Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) and Display Systems businesses.
McMahon joined the company in 1981 as product line administrator, and was subsequently promoted to positions as business manager, program manager, director of manufacturing programs and planning, vice president of programs, and vice president of IFF product lines. She was appointed vice president of IFF and Display Systems product lines in 2001.
After earning a bachelor's degree in Business Management at the New York Institute of Technology, McMahon completed course work through the National Contract Management Association at Hofstra University and received certification at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
McMahon is now one of three general managers in BAE Systems Advanced Systems.
McMahon also serves as chairperson of the Town of Babylon (New York) Planning Board, where she has been active for many years.
