REGIONAL AIRCRAFT

WHAT WE DO

With over 800 aircraft and more than 160 customers in 80 countries, our aircraft, including the Jetstream family, the BAe 748, ATP, BAe146 and Avro RJ continue to be key drivers in the growth and development of regional airlines. The success of these aircraft in today's competitive market is a tribute to their original design and the integrated support provided by Regional Aircraft today.

In fact, we’re one of the few organisations in the industry to provide customers with both the aircraft and the integrated support package to go with it – which covers everything from logistics and engineering to training and technical expertise.

But far from just supporting regional airlines, we’re also playing a key role in their growth and development. London City Airport, for example, is seeing a real increase in services as thanks to our BAe146 and Avro RJ jets. A total of seven airlines now operate these aircraft and they account for 44% of daily scheduled departures and 62% of daily scheduled seats.

We’ve also received a Royal seal of approval for our work. This came about through a contract we were awarded to conduct a major upgrade to the flightdecks of two BAe 146–100s. These planes are very special, as they belong to No. 32 (The Royal) Squadron and are used to fly members of the Royal family as well as senior government ministers.

YOUR DEVELOPMENT

Join us on the Graduate Development Framework (GDF) scheme, and you’ll spend two years rotating around the group on a variety of placements. These placements will develop and stretch you on a daily basis. Through them, you’ll gain the skills and expertise you need to not only achieve your full potential but also help the business meet its strategic objectives. You’ll have the chance to take up to four placements over the two years and, if you want, one of them can be outside your chosen function. And if you’re intrigued to know what goes on in other areas of the organisation, we can also set you up with a placement in another Business Unit.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

We'll support your professional development and all are encouraged to achieve Chartered status. Join us and you’ll be able to work towards your Institute of Mechanical Engineering (ImechE) accreditation or Royal Aeronautical Society (RAE) accreditation.
