It involves taking an offshore designed basic vehicle chassis, integrating the complex systems required to customise it for UK requirements and transitioning manufacture to the UK. Most importantly the integrator must play a key role in assisting the MoD ensure that FRES:
- integrates with the wider battlegroup
- delivers maximum military capability through life across all the Defence Lines of Development

The Systems Integration Facility at Leicester is a key tool in helping user, integrator and the supply network work together to cut cost, time and risk at every stage of the life cycle, from concept generation to support and upgrade.
We have experience of bringing overseas base vehicles and associated data packs to the UK and carrying out onshore manufacture and integration to customise for UK requirements. Currently we are integrating the Italian-designed Panther. We have also manufactured Piranha in the UK.
