Land Systems has a proven UK supply network consisting of over 3000 companies. Over 80% of our business goes to this network (some £800m pa). Following a strategic review, an even greater proportion will do so to help sustain the UK skills base.
We have worked closely and successfully with these companies over many years. Recently those links have been tested under high-stress conditions in delivering over 80 urgent operational requirements for UK armoured vehicles in the last 18 months.
We are looking to bring 'best of breed' UK skills and technologies to FRES and are talking to new potential partners about bringing key capabilities to our vehicle integrator team.
BAE Systems is the UK's largest exporter and has the experience to turn FRES into a UK export success. We already have over 10,000 UK-built vehicles in service around the world.
