BAE SYSTEMS RECEIVES $15.9 MILLION CONTRACT FROM DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY FOR OUTER TACTICAL VEST COMPONENTS
BAE Systems has been awarded a $15.9 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency for Outer Tactical Vest (OTV) components in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism. Issued to the U.S. armed forces, they include groin, throat and neck protectors. The OTV, when combined with Small Arms Protective Inserts plates, provides advanced protection against mines, grenades, mortar shells, artillery fire and rifle projectiles. [more]
