Testimonials
“The leadership opportunities for OLDP participants are outstanding. I have already been given the chance to lead virtual team meetings, conduct project status meetings, present in front of upper management, offer business solutions to enhance our competitive position as a company through the first year OLDP project, and lead recruiting activities for the Operations Leadership Development Program.”
Ken, B.S. Supply Chain Management, B.S. Marketing Management, Syracuse University
“One of the best parts about OLDP is the constant mentoring you receive. Each OLDP is paired with a mentor within BAE Systems for the course of the program. Having a mentor when I started at BAE helped me significantly while I was adjusting to my new rotation and getting acclimated with the culture of BAE Systems. I have developed a great relationship with my mentor and have been able to learn a lot from her experience and advice about different functions and projects within Operations.”
Andrea, B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Boston University “
As I move on within my career, I am grateful for the experiences that I encountered while in the OLDP program. I was able to use my technical skills in manufacturing engineering to help train and implement lean manufacturing on the production floor. I was also able to use my managerial skills in business administration to help the organization succeed through change in order to obtain operational performance. The combination of technical and business skills that were developed while in the program will continue to provide me a solid foundation for future opportunities and experiences within the Operations organization.”
Tricia, B.S. Manufacturing Engineering, Boston University, M.B.A, Bentley College
“I believe that OLDP gives a level of exposure that is overlooked and undervalued. Coming from within the company I felt that I had a solid grasp of the ‘who to go to.’ Having now completed the program I can say that I never would have come close to the contacts list that I currently have. In my limited experience I already see that the farther one goes in BAE the more critical it is to have those contacts. Daily I am presented with an issue that I can resolve quickly by going directly to the right person. Without the OLDP program I would likely still be able to get resolution to those same problems but the time it takes me to do so would exponentially increase as I searched for that ‘right person.’”
