Title: Master Planning
Department: Planning and Control Operations
Location: Nashua - Canal St. facility (Nashua, NH)
Position summary: Monitor data integrity for the line of balance and the communication/coordination with functional groups as needed. Review various reports to ensure the master schedule is presented as a viable and executable plan for all factories. Position also analyzes the impact to factory load profiles, as new or changing schedules for Operation production activities are introduced to the master planning schedule (MPS), ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
Master planner also investigates MPS issues and recommends corrective action through simulation and validation, making sure to target a level loaded schedule. Planner also maintains a working knowledge of factory capacity and its limitations. Master planner assists in the analysis required to assess all over E&IS Operations capacity compared to total loading requirements, while assisting in the development of methods and internal systems that facilitate the flow of MPS information to all affected functions. Lastly, the master planner facilitates formal management briefing forums, ranging from five-year strategic technology requirements to near-term skill mix requirement assessments.
Main focus: To implement the master production schedule interface within the line of business for all firm and forecasted work entering production. To integrate program schedules into the MPS, primarily focusing on the development of an achievable plan.
