Finance Leadership Development Program

The contract rotation is unique since it exposes the FLDP participant to many key disciplines. A unique aspect of the contract rotation is that it provides the opportunity to establish a working relationship with the customer through frequent correspondence as well as opportunities to travel during negotiation periods. Contract administrators work in a program team specific to their contract(s).

Major position responsibilities:

  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Mitigate risk with regard to nondisclosure agreements, technology licenses, etc.
  • Conduct correspondence and develop good working relationships with customers.
  • Document formal correspondence with customers (submittals, requests, proposals, etc.).
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations / Defense FederalĀ  Acquisition Regulations.
  • Issue contractual reports (Special Sales Orders, Completion Stop Orders, etc.)
  • Assure programs are adequately funded.
  • Interpret contract requirements for the program team.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and fact-finding.
  • Inform team members of correspondence with customer.
  • Assist in generating contracts regarding legality, liabilities, cash flow, and strategic planning.
