Finance Leadership Development Program
The contract rotation is unique since it exposes the FLDP participant to many key disciplines. A unique aspect of the contract rotation is that it provides the opportunity to establish a working relationship with the customer through frequent correspondence as well as opportunities to travel during negotiation periods. Contract administrators work in a program team specific to their contract(s).
Major position responsibilities:
- Negotiate contracts.
- Mitigate risk with regard to nondisclosure agreements, technology licenses, etc.
- Conduct correspondence and develop good working relationships with customers.
- Document formal correspondence with customers (submittals, requests, proposals, etc.).
- Develop a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations / Defense FederalĀ Acquisition Regulations.
- Issue contractual reports (Special Sales Orders, Completion Stop Orders, etc.)
- Assure programs are adequately funded.
- Interpret contract requirements for the program team.
- Assist in proposal preparation and fact-finding.
- Inform team members of correspondence with customer.
- Assist in generating contracts regarding legality, liabilities, cash flow, and strategic planning.
