You can apply online for advertised vacancies or submit your CV and details as a general application to be considered against suitable roles.
Before making your application, make sure you read the job information and then relate your skills to the requirements. If necessary, add in a separate section to your CV to indicate how you feel you meet the needs of the job. Ensure that you proof read your CV before attaching it and print and keep a copy of what you send to us. Please note that if you are currently an employee of BAE Systems you should refer to the Internal Vacancy Brief where all vacancies are advertised and apply via that route.
When your application is received, if you have applied for a specific role, it will then be forwarded to our recruitment team and the business manager responsible for the vacancy. If on the other hand you have sent a speculative application, your details will be held for a period of six months and will be available to people involved in the recruitment process.
By submitting an application, you are agreeing for your details to be stored electronically and for your application to be considered for vacancies within BAE Systems.
You will receive an acknowledgement by return to your email account that you used to send your application. If you do not receive this within 24 hours, please contact the BAE Systems Customer Support team, to ensure your application has been safely received.
If you are selected for interview, this is then your opportunity to tell us about your achievements, skills and competencies. You may be invited to a telephone interview, a face-to-face interview, or a full assessment centre. If you are shortlisted, you will be contacted by the recruitment team to advise of the process and dates available.
If you require any special arrangements for your interview/assessment, please make sure you confirm these with the recruitment team. If you cannot make your interview date you will need to contact the BAE Systems Customer Services team and advise them of this as soon as possible. After the interview/assessment decisions will be made on the most appropriate person for the role, subject only to considerations of national security, without regard to age, sex, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, race, colour, nationality, religion, ethnic or national origins.
Feedback may be available to you depending on the stage of the recruitment process you participated and the outcome.
Successful applicants will normally receive a verbal offer followed by a written conditional offer. Offers are normally conditional subject to security clearance, referencing and medical requirements. These vary depending upon the location and the proposed role. You will receive confirmation once the conditions have been satisfied.
BAE Systems welcomes applicants from non-UK and EEA nationals as long as they have a relevant work visa and where necessary, are able to obtain a work permit.
