Charity Challenge is a program which covers all employee-driven charitable activity across BAE Systems. Operating for more than ten years, Charity Challenge has grown to cover five countries and more than 100 sites across both BAE Systems and our joint-venture partners including Airbus, AMS, MBDA and XChanging HR Services.

Here are some of the exciting initiatives currently available through Charity Challenge:
Involvement Days:
Develop yourself and your team in areas such as project management, communication, teamwork and negotiation while helping a good cause. Volunteer your time to help a project for one of our partnership charities and the company will donate £50 for each day you give - fundraising without shaking a single bucket! Some 5700 days were volunteered last campaign which we hope to exceed for 2005/2006.
Fundraising
Your local Charity Challenge team supports the charities that you are interested in - as well as the partner charities that you have voted for. Together we help to raise millions for charities every eighteen months. Get involved in activities such as Red Nose Day and help to make a real difference to our local communities.

Online Auction
The Charity Challenge Online Auction provides a unique way to distribute items to benefit Charities. Following the successful online auction model pioneered by companies such as Ebay, the system allows employees from around the world to place bids on items donated to Charity Challenge by suppliers or Charities.
Charities who would not qualify for the partnership role can actively promote their cause directly to employees while giving our people an opportunity to purchase exclusive items to help a good cause. The system is designed to work across our international borders and supports multiple currencies with employees now accessing the site from Australia, North America and the UK.
