Rick Diamond
Rick Diamond is vice president of business development and strategy for the Electronics, Intelligence & Support (EI&S) operating group within BAE Systems. He is responsible for the group’s domestiinternational business development, marketing, and strategy.
EI&S, with headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, employs more than 33,000 people and serves the electronics, services, information technology, and power and controls markets. The group provides a wide range of electronic systems and subsystems for military and commercial applications, as well as integrated technical and professional service solutions for U.S. national security and federal markets.
Diamond previously was vice president of business development and strategy for the former BAE Systems Electronics & Integrated Solutions operating group. He joined Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Company, in 1998 and continued as the business development vice president after the company was purchased by BAE Systems in 2000. Prior to that, he was with Lockheed Martin Electronics and Missiles, where he held a variety of positions in business development and program management, and eventually served as director of business development for fire control systems.
Diamond joined Lockheed Martin Electronics and Missiles in 1990 following a 22-year career as a U.S. Army infantry officer and aviator, serving in command and staff positions at levels ranging from company to Department of the Army. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Albuquerque and a master’s degree in operations analysis from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
He and his wife, Benita, live in Bedford, New Hampshire. They have two grown children.
