Donald F. Donovan
Don Donovan is president of Electronic Warfare, a line of business of Electronics & Integrated Solutions (E&IS), an operating group of BAE Systems. The business areas under his leadership are F-22, Joint Strike Fighter, Infrared Countermeasures, Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare, Electronic Systems Product Support, Information Dominance Systems, Information Operations, and Readiness & Sustainment.
Electronic Warfare employs more than 450 people in 6 U.S. states, and has its headquarters in Nashua, New Hampshire. E&IS, with its headquarters also in Nashua, is a major defense electronics business with 17,000 employees in 16 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, the United Kingdom, and Israel.
Prior to serving as president of Electronic Warfare, Donovan was president of the Electronic Protection business. Before that, he was president of BAE Systems’ Electronic Protection business for the Information & Electronic Warfare Systems unit.
He joined Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Company, in 1982 as a contract administrator, and was promoted to director of contracts in 1990. In 1993 he was responsible for direction and oversight of contracts management for foreign and domestic business as business director and deputy to the general manager. He was named vice president of contracts in 1994. He became vice president of the F-22 program in 1997, and was named vice president and general manager of the F-22 and Joint Strike Fighter business areas in 2000. He became vice president for the Electronic Warfare/Electronic Protection business in April 2003. In October 2003, he was named president of the Electronic Warfare/Electronic Protection business.
He received a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Saint Anselm College in 1982, and a master's degree in business administration from Rivier College in 1987.
Don and his wife, Debbie, reside in Litchfield, New Hampshire. They have four children.
The E&IS group designs, develops, and manufactures a wide range of electronic systems and subsystems for military and commercial applications. E&IS offers products and integration services, including electronic warfare and self-protection systems; surveillance and intelligence systems; platform systems; sensor and precision targeting systems; communication, navigation, identification, and reconnaissance systems; large-scale enterprise solutions and information management systems in support of the defense and intelligence communities; mission-specific software and geospatial exploitation products; advanced information technology; and rapid C4ISR prototyping, among others.
