Dave Herr
Dave Herr is president of the Support Solutions business within BAE Systems’ Electronics, Intelligence & Support (EI&S) operating group.
Support Solutions serves the U.S. Department of Defense and federal civilian customers, offering capabilities in systems engineering and technical assistance, system and subsystem integration, readiness and sustainment, communications systems integration, development and integration of precision tracking radars, and services for air and missile defense systems. The business, with headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, employs more than 11,000 people at facilities across the United States.
EI&S, with headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, employs more than 33,000 people and serves the electronics, services, information technology, and power and controls markets. The group provides a wide range of electronic systems and subsystems for military and commercial applications, as well as integrated technical and professional service solutions for U.S. national security and federal markets.
He previously was vice president of Commercial Avionics for BAE Systems’ Platform Solutions business. Prior to that, he served as vice president of operations for the company’s former Electronics & Integrated Solutions operating group and vice president of operations for Platform Solutions.
Prior to joining BAE Systems, Herr held a series of increasingly responsible positions in procurement, program management, production operations, and product support for General Electric Aircraft Engines and Lockheed Martin. He also was a senior buyer for ITT Aerospace Optical and a material control supervisor for the International Harvester Company.
Herr holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Francis University and a master’s of business administration from Northern Kentucky University.
