Darrell Philpot

Darrell Philpot is vice president and chief information officer for the Electronics, Intelligence & Support (EI&S) operating group within BAE Systems. He is responsible for information technology solutions that support the growth, collaboration, and management of EI&S businesses and support functions.

EI&S, with headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, employs more than 33,000 people and serves the electronics, services, information technology, and power and controls markets. The group provides a wide range of electronic systems and subsystems for military and commercial applications, as well as integrated technical and professional service solutions for U.S. national security and federal markets.

Prior to joining BAE Systems in July 2008, Philpot held several leadership positions at Dell Inc., including manager of multi-vendor field services for the Americas, service delivery executive, and program manager. He previously worked for Electronic Data Systems as global network operations manager.

Philpot is a retired Marine Corps officer with 20 years of service in various leadership positions in command and control, communications, data systems, and field artillery.

Philpot holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University.
