Our U.S. government customer base is broad, including most of the federal defense and civilian marketplace. We have over 500 current contracts to provide services to our customers with a focus on the defense and intelligence arena.

Our staff is technically qualified; 75 percent are systems analysts, engineers, programmers, or intelligence analysts.  Technical certification in pertinent IT disciplines, including Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Novell, Sun Microsystems, HP OpenView, Tivoli or Dell, is held by 18 percent of the staff.  Corporate programs promote stability, as evidenced by our overall staff retention rate of 86 percent.  According to a recent independent survey by Watson Wyatt, our employees demonstrate a significantly higher than average commitment to ethics and business conduct, community involvement, and professional development.  The majority of our staff has special high-level clearances.

Our front-line technical staff is supported by a strong corporate infrastructure.  We believe this facilitates superior project performance for our clients.  Supporting project performance practices that help our customers include:

Small and minority business.

Using small and minority firms is good business.  Our dedicated small business advocate maintains an outreach program focused on ensuring that small and socio-economic firms are provided the maximum opportunity to participate as teammates.  We have been recognized for our support to emerging small business, as for example with two on-going Department of Homeland Security Mentor-Protégé programs.

Cleared facilities.

Clients need flexibility in where work is performed.  To accomplish that in our customer environment requires secure facilities.  Half of our current 520,000 square feet of facility space is comprised of government-approved secure working areas.  We plan to expand total space by 35% in the near future.  We have won an award for rapid response in bringing secure space on line.

Staff training.

We and our clients benefit jointly from a well-trained, technically current staff.  Our industry-leading tuition reimbursement program encourages staff to maintain up-to-date IT skills.  We offer individual career development coaching and personalized training plans.  Our dedicated learning and development team provides staff with a wide variety of classroom and on-line training opportunities

Partnering.

We bring customers the “best-of-the-best” in our contract teams.  To accomplish this we maintain active partnering relationships with a technologically diverse and growing group of teammates, now numbering more than 115 firms.  These range from niche companies in a key technology or discipline to large companies who can enhance our talent-rich pool of cleared IT staff.  We emphasize an integrated approach to contract execution, with shared goals and rewards.

Contract vehicles.

Our clients deserve choice in the manner in which they contract for our services.  To accomplish this we have available a broad portfolio of IDIQ, GWAC, and BPA vehicles.  A dedicated GWAC program management office helps ensure that we and our customers use these contracts appropriately.

Lifecycle management.

We and our clients benefit from projects that are managed using a mature lifecycle management (LCM) process.  Our proven LCM process covers projects from inception through completion and eventual disposal.  It provides a balanced view of project status, features structured peer reviews by domain experts, and is scalable and tailorable to individual project needs.

Risk management.

Project success is enhanced by a formal risk management process.  Our proven, CMMI level 3 methodology is used by all projects.  It is a structured procedure for risk assessment, action planning and reporting.  A color-coded risk register facilitates communication about risks.
