Andy Inglis
Andy Inglis, a director of BP p.l.c. and a member of the BP executive management team, was appointed a non-executive director of BAE Systems in June 2007. He is Chief Executive of BP’s Exploration & Production business, and holds regional responsibility for Russia, the Caspian, the Middle East, North and West Africa, Canada, the Caribbean and South America, Indonesia and Vietnam.
Having begun his career with BP as a mechanical engineer working on North Sea oil projects, he went on to hold a series of commercial roles in exploration, led BP’s activities in the Gulf of Mexico, and became vice president of the US western gas business in 1999. He was appointed deputy chief executive of exploration and production in 2004, and subsequently chief executive of that segment in February 2007 when he joined the BP board.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
