The difference with Advanced Information Technologies (AIT) is a combination of the great people working with us, and the fantastic and challenging projects we are asked to work on. Our project teams attack and solve some of today's most challenging problems, using "bleeding edge" technology. Research and development teams are not large in size, allowing our employees the opportunity to be actively involved in all phases of the project and its deliverables, including customer interaction.

Our outstanding technical staff is made up of the brightest minds from some of the most prestigious engineering schools. We are always looking for new talent, new ideas and new applications for our technology. Over 80 percent of our technical staff members have earned advanced degrees. Since AIT offers a cubicle-free work environment, every technical employee enjoys the benefit of an office.

Please note that due to the nature of our work, all of our technical staff positions require US government security clearances, which in turn require US citizenship.

Employee Development

Recognizing that our employees strive to stay challenged and on the cutting edge, AIT provides many opportunities to develop skill sets and advance careers.

In-house Seminars

AIT sponsors in-house technical seminars on a regular basis. These seminars are presented by AIT's technical staff members, consultants or colleagues. In addition, AIT covers the cost of attending professional meetings and conferences.

In-house Training Programs

AIT regularly invites content experts to present formal training programs to our staff. Example training programs include C++ development, management skills, proposal writing, and interviewing skills.

Tuition Reimbursement

Because AIT is an intellectually charged organization, we support employee efforts to further their education by reimbursing employees 100% of tuition costs for passing grades in approved graduate or undergraduate courses. The maximum benefit paid in any calendar year is currently $5,250. There is no waiting period for new hires.

Conference Attendance

AIT encourages its technical staff to attend technical conferences to contribute to their growth, help them to meet potential new customers and employees, and keep them abreast of developments in fields of interest to the company.

Growth Assignments

Each AIT employee is given the opportunity to broaden his or her experience through job enhancement and growth assignments. Growth assignments involve new and challenging projects and/or technology. Employees are invited to participate in special assignments and projects that will expose them to every aspect of our industry and business. Although regular job responsibilities are the priority and special assignments may not be immediately available, AIT management is committed to working with each employee in this process.

Extensive Collaboration with the Academic Community

AIT's technical staff members regularly collaborate with outstanding members of the academic community, from such schools as MIT, Boston University, University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, Purdue and Dartmouth.

Performance Evaluations

The performance evaluation is a great opportunity for collaborative, two-way communications between an employee and management. When each AIT employee is reviewed formally on an annual basis, the process provides insights into his or her objectives, performance, level of job satisfaction, and career goals.

Because we consider each employee's career development unique, AIT provides every employee with the tools and information they need to determine the path they would like their career to take. Once that path is identified, AIT supports and assists each employee with his or her career development.
